What's on the Trail?

• Colour the Story — colouring pages made from each book's own illustrations, following the story as it happens.

• Puzzles & Play — word searches, crosswords, mazes and word scrambles, with answers included.

• Amazing Animals — meet the real animals behind Casper's adventures, discover some extraordinary facts, earn a badge for every animal and, at the end of each book, an Animal Guardian certificate.

• Colours of Africa — colouring pages celebrating African life, culture and wildlife.

• The Adventure Passport — A little booklet to print, fold and staple, with a place for every animal badge your reader earns. There are 49 animals across ten adventures. By the end of the Trail, a passport full of animals.

Questions?

• When does it open? Very soon. Reading Circle members will hear first, by email.

• Do I need the books? No. The Trail brings you the activities, not the books themselves. Book 1 is free for everyone. The other nine Casper books are available to buy, and whenever an activity comes from one of them I'll include a link in case you'd like the story too. You never need to buy anything to keep receiving the activities. Every pack is fun on its own, and even better with the book beside you.

• Is it free? Yes. The Trail will be free for Reading Circle families, and every page is yours to keep.

• What ages is it for? The books are written for children aged about 5 to 10. There's something on the Trail for every reader in that range, from simple colouring to trickier puzzles.

• What will I need? A printer, some colouring pencils, and a free afternoon. The Adventure Passport also needs a stapler.

• I bought a Casper book. Is there anything for me now? Yes! If your book has an adventure code inside (look near the back), unlock it on our Unlock page for your bonus audiobook and activity pack. ​
